Does Chocolate Cause Heartburn?

Does Chocolate Cause Heartburn?

If you are human at all you have to admit that chocolate is a God send. I love it! Someone once said give me chocolate or give me death and I use to agree. The problem with me loving chocolate so much is I should not have it and if you are suffering from acid reflux maybe you should not have it too. My wife has been researching foods that are good and bad for indigestion, heartburn, and acid reflux. Chocolate was on her bad list. I just don’t believe it! With Easter here and lots of chocolate around, I can’t bear to not have chocolate. I was working today, had a nice lunch, and someone politely left me this little chocolate bunny in my mailbox. I was tempted to eat it. I figured, I can’t go my entire life without chocolate so the justifying set in and then the denial. I actually convinced myself I didn’t have as bad a problem with acid reflux and indigestion as I did before.  After all, I have some T-Drops to soothe away any pain from heartburn, and stop acid reflux. We needed some research for marketing T-Drops anyway! So I decided to have the Chocolate bunny a

nd it tasted pretty good. About 10 minutes later I could hear my subconscious speaking to me, “Your Wife Was Right!” The acid reflux started and it was hitting harder than I expected. Good thing I had T-Drops with me because I think I ate an entire bag. Whenever I felt burning I would just suck on a T-Drop and it helped to cool the burning pain and actually stopped it. I am supposed to suck on the T-Drop until it is all gone. This works my saliva glands and helps fight acid reflux naturally. I didn’t. At least I didn’t all the way. I became impatient and chewed it. Hey, it still worked and about 15 minutes later my acid reflux was finally gone. The moral of this story is twofold. One, Stopping acid reflux, indigestion, and heartburn is a life change from bad eating habits first. Secondly, T-Drops provided an all-natural solution to acid reflux, heartburn, and indigestion. These two things combined can stop acid reflux from continuously flaring up and bothering you.
